webbing mill and the strap fabricator, we are not
constrained to using only webbings that are off-the-shelf
items. Whether it is strength, material, width or weave
pattern, we can quickly make a sample, test it and send it
to you for evaluation. To complete a strap request, we’ll
offer what we believe is the most appropriate hardware
whether it is a standard piece or designed especially for
your application.
When an electronics
manufacturer needed a unique strap to lift various sized
components from a shipping container, they called and
provided basic information such as unit weights, dimensions,
and possible methods the user would employ to remove the
device. Within days, this customer had actual prototypes to
evaluate in the field. Based on further customer feedback,
Sturges refined the design and compared to their old method,
the strap resulted in a product that is less expensive,
easier to use, and even promotes the customer's name.
