Frequently Asked Questions
How We Work with You
1) What testing equipment do you have at your disposal? At Sturges, we primarily perform break testing up to 33,000 lbs to validate an initial design and to verify materials (webbing, stitching, and hardware) will perform as expected. Our standard policy is to check for an average break to be at least three standard deviations above the stated minimum. Additionally, we perform specific tests as required by the customer's needs - an example would be stretch or burn rate. We also have established relationships with a number of outside labs if more particular testing is required. If you have other questions, we would be pleased to answer them for you. Contact us. 2) What is your production capacity? This of course is highly dependent on what we are making. We have made over 200,000 yards of webbing per week and 50,000 straps per week. We will gladly commit to a specific production rate during the design phase of the product. 3) Do you accept blanket orders and stocking programs? We welcome both. This is a great way for the customer to take advantage of cost effective longer webbing runs and yet still not be overburdened with excessive inventory. This is part of the contract review process and is tailored to each customer’s needs. 4) What is your minimum order and production time? Our minimum order requirements are as follows:
5) Do you ship internationally? We embrace the concept of a global economy and welcome the opportunity to add another country to our list. We regularly ship to customers in Europe, Asia, and Oceania in addition to our close neighbors in Canada. 6)
How do you handle customer feedback and complaints? 7) What is your cancellation and return policy? Orders that are cancelled are subject to manufacturing and material costs incurred to date. It is best to contact us ahead of time to confirm what charges, if any, will be incurred as a result of canceling a particular order. Returns are accepted on standard webbings and hardware - however, it must be deemed reusable before any credit is issued. (Original shipping charges and any shipping costs incurred to return the items are the responsibility of the customer.) Please call for a Return Authorization Number prior to returning any goods. 8) What is your warranty policy? It is the responsibility of the end user, purchaser or other intermediate
seller to determine the purposes for which the product is fit and suitable,
the properties of the product and any precautionary measures which must
be taken in order to insure the safety of the user and third persons
and property. It shall be the end user's and purchaser’s obligation to
determine the ultimate suitability of the product for any intended use,
and the purchaser and end user assume all risk and liability whatsoever
in connection therewith. 9) Do you have a catalog or a stock product line
with price sheet available?
