Tear Webbing

Tear webbing (also known as tear tape or shock absorbing webbing) is used in a variety of applications and industries to aid in gradual deceleration from a fall. Tear webbings are critical to the safety of workers in many industries, effectively reducing the forces sustained during a fall. Sturges Manufacturing’s patented tear webbing designs are crafted with the end-user in mind.

Sturges Ensorba™ energy absorbing tear webbing is developed using our in-house ISO 17025 accredited drop test tower. Dynamically tested for integrity in many environments (cold, frozen, hot, dry, wet) SPC is used to validate lot-to-lot performance.

At Sturges, we don’t settle for “good enough.” That’s why we developed custom, unique designs to meet the changing needs of the fall protection industry. Products have been developed to meet various standards using one webbing and designs that integrate a backup strap into the tear-webbing.

Tear webbing is shipped in rolls or cut pieces, with short lead times and low minimums.
